Proposal of oral presentations

Introducton:
The principal aim of this proposal is to help people with their oral presentations. Students have many problems when they have to present their oral presentations, such as getting nervous or forgetting things.

Current situation:
Students have several problems with oral presentations because they get very nervous, and stressed. They prefer to do written exams or exercises than speaking in front of everyone.

Problems students have:
Presentations cause a lot of problems for students, for example:

1- Remembering information by memory, this way they are going to lock up.
2- Stammering and getting nervous during the presentation.
3- Distributing the information that each student should say.
4- They should be organized and say the same amount each.

Recommendations:

The following recomendations are to get a better mark in your oral presentations:

1- You must know and undestand the topic. If not, the professor can ask you something that you do not know.

2- You can recorde yourself to listen may times and you will understand the topic.

3- If the professor allows it, students could have thir notes with them, as guidance.

4- If they get nervous they should avoid looking a people.

With these tips students will get better marks, or they will improve some things.

El viaje

En la materia de literatura seguimos trabajando con el viaje, ya que días atrás hicimos una publicación sobre un relato que habíamos escrito con mis compañeras, este hablaba sobre el viaje al espacio o a la luna. Ahora la profesora nos propuso analizar un vídeo que nosotros elijamos ya que en clase ella no mostró un vídeo que se llama "Space Oddity" de David Bowie. Este hablaba sobre un hombre que viaja al espacio, este chico estaba tan enamorado del espacio que pensaba que las estrellas eran chicas lindas. El hombre, decidió morirse en el lugar que amaba y que le gustaba mucho antes que volver a la tierra con su familia. En mi opinión el vídeo es antiguo pero esta bueno ya que esta bien hecho para esa época, también me gusta como esta contada la historia y como esta actuada. A continuación les dejo el vídeo o trailer que elegí para representar "el viaje" y el análisis que hice sobre él.

En la serie "The 100", se puede observar el viaje ya que los ciudadanos que antes vivían en la Tierra se tuvieron que ir a vivir al espacio, donde ellos vivieron se lo llamo "el arca". "El arca" es una especie de nave muy grande que flota en el espacio. En este había reglas ya que hacía años y años que vivían ahí y el oxigeno se iba acabando cada vez mas rápido por que cada vez son mas. Una de las reglas era que cada mujer no puede tener mas de un hijo o hija ya que cuantas mas personas haya mas rápido se acababa el aire. Como el aire se estaba acabando tenían que saber si la tierra era habitable para volver a ella. Por esto mandan a 100 prisioneros que habían hecho cosas malas o que no tendrían que haber nacido. 
En este caso el viaje se ve cuando los chicos tienen que bajar a la tierra para ver si podían vivir en ella o cuando llegan y ven que es habitable y las personas que quedaron en "el arca" tienen que bajar a la tierra. Cuando las personas que habían quedado en "el arca" bajan porque se estaban quedando sin oxigeno surgen varios problemas, y que había muchas personas y pocos acentos para viajar. Ellos tuvieron que buscar la manera y crear una especie de nave para poder bajar a la Tierra.

En cuanto al trailer podemos ver una escena donde los chicos que llegaron a la tierra se sacan unas pulseras y las queman. Gracias a estas pulseras las personas del "arca" podían ver si seguían vivos o se habían muerto. Ya que varios se habían sacado la pulsera apenas llegaron, su familia que todavía estaba en "el arca" pensaba que habían muerto y lo lamentaban mucho. 

"The 100" es una serie de televisión estadounidense de ciencia ficción, ciencia ficción apocalíptica y drama, creada por Jason Rothenberg y basada en la novela homónima escrita por Kass Morgan. Su primer capitulo fue lanzado el 14 de marzo de 2014. Por ahora "The 100" tiene nada mas que 4 temporadas. 

La evolución y sus relaciones con los genes

En biología estuvimos viendo la evolución, y sus teorías. Luego la profesora nos explico una de las pruebas de la evolución que es el ADN. A partir de eso la profesora nos propuso realizar un texto explicando la relación entre los genes, las proteínas, el ADN, la evolución y la población.

Todas las células tiene moléculas de ADN, ya que tienen un núcleo y están ahí a dentro del mismo, estos serian nuestros cromosomas. Cada cromosoma esta formado por una molécula de ADN, esta, esta rodeada de proteínas. La información genética permite ver los cambios de los ante pasados a los actuales, y como la población evoluciono. La estructura de la molécula de ADN en las personas siempre es la misma.

How to study?

Hi, Delfi!

I really happy to receive a mail of you, since pass a long time that we do not write. I imagined that you are very nervous because of the exam, but you should try to be relax. I will give you some tips to study and remember whole stuff.

On one hand, when you have to study a large topic it it better if you readed one time, then you have to read again and highlight it. After doing that you have to mekes summaries with the things that you highlight. Moreover you have to readed all the days, many times until the exam.

On the other hand, in order to remember words by hard, it is very easy to remember it with a similar word to that one, or writed it many times and then see it many times in a day. Also if you makes your summaries with color it is much easy to remember it.

Finally I can say you that you must study all the days until the exam and you will get a great mark in your test. You should not be nervous because that plays against you, you can listen music or spend a great time with your friends.

I hope these tips help to you to get a good mark, write to me when you receive your mark.

How important were republican reactions in the Wall Street Crash as causes of Roosevelt´s success in the presidential election of 1932?

In 1932 elections were done in the USA, the republican candidate was Hoover and the democrat candidate was Roosevelt, and he won. He was the first democratic president in the USA. The main factor that made Roosevelt won the election was his campaign and the reactions of republicans to the Wall Street Crash.

 In his campaign he showed he is an active president, and he believed that to improve the economic problem this was what the country needed. He promised getting Americans back to work, protecting their savings and their properties, providing relief for the sick, old and unemployed, getting Americans industry and agriculture back to their feet and the most important, he promised a new deal. He won the elections with a big difference and a new and different government began.

  On the other hand some people believe that the main factor of Roosevelt victory was because the Crash of the Wall Street, on part it was his fault. Hoover was called as a `Do nothing president´, and maybe this is true, due to the fact that the republicans belief was not to interfere in people like. As we know the Wall Street crash was the main cause of the depression. However republicans said that depression was fault of the Problem economic in Europe. Furthermore Hoover, with his republican’s beliefs, did not interfere in people problems. So people really refuse on this and the idea of him as a `Do nothing president´ was increasing. Because of this at time to vote they prefer Roosevelt.
On balance, we could see how important his attitude was over the Wall Street Crash. However his strong and important campaign help Roosevelt to. In my opinion both are important and without them, it would be more difficult for Roosevelt to won.

How important were credit and hire purchase as reasons for economic growth in the USA in the 1920's

During the 1920's USA was in a boom. The country was growing very fast, also the technology. This was a very big econimic growth. One of the cause were credit and hire purchase, the importantece of this cause is still being debated.

On one hand the people could buy things and pay them later. By this way people bought things. For example this helped to increased the demand of radios in the lower classes. It also helped to sell more cars. This helped the economy because people bougth things only from their country. Also they had to put the 10 per cent of the cash needed to buy shares and could borrow the rest, so they had more money to invest on the companies. Futhermore the speculators pay only a part of the shares and then when they get the profit they pay the rest and in that way they were getting rich.

 On the other hand the Republican goverment maintein taxes low, so people spend more money, this action was called laissez-faire. Peopple with low economy can not bought a radio or a car, so they asked banks to give them credits. By this way economy growth because they can bought products. While the overproduction was facid and economic problem. Despite the credits helped to increased the production, people had what they wanted, due to the mass marketing and the propaganda, so they did not wanted to buy more things.

The electrification allowed industries to developed betters products, like vaccum cleaners, cars and radios, this things need petrol to make plastics, this was not important for credits

and hire purchase for economic growth. Other reason for the economic growth was the first world was, Europe was poor so they can not competed with USA. USA have raw material so they do not need things from others countries. USA have a good industries.

Finally credi and hire purchase were an important cause of the economic growth in the 1920's, but there were others importanted causes, such as Republicans polices, mass-marketing, mass production, the investion of plastic, the electrification and the markets gained during the first war world.

Un lugar tan hermoso

En literatura estuvimos leyendo cuentos sobre viajes al espacio, y los analizamos en clase. A partir de eso, la profesora nos propuso hacer un relato con mis compañeras. El relato tenia que estar relacionado con los viajes al espacio y había que incluir lo que habíamos trabajado en clase que es la modalidad y nivel de la focalización, y como muestra Lodge a sus personajes en escenas. A continuación les dejo nuestro relato.

En cuanto a la experiencia estuvo muy bueno poder imaginarse y crear este relato con mis compañeras, ya que cada una íbamos dando nuestras opinión para que este quede cada vez mejor, también me gusto mucho jugar con la focalización y los métodos le Lodge para describir nuestro personaje. En cuanto a la focalización en nuestro cuento varia mucho ya que esta Sofía en el espacio y toda su familia en la tierra, esta es externa ya que no es en un personaje. El narrador es omnisciente ya que el narrador ve todo lo que pasa y no se queda nada mas en un lugar como por ejemplo cuenta que le pasa a Sofía y cuenta que le pasa a su familia cuando le dijeron que ella había muerto. En lo temporal es sincrónica porque los echos se cuentas a penas van pasando y están siempre en orden.
Cuando analizamos los métodos de Lodge para presentar un personaje vimos que los podíamos incluir en nuestro relato, por ejemplo la biografía del abuelo y cunado cuenta que el abuelo le había regalado a Sofía un telescopio por todo lo que había vivido. También aparece la biografía de Sofía cuando al principio cuenta que su sueño era conocer la luna al igual que su abuelo. Ademas se muestra a Sofia y a su mama hablando. En cuanto a la muestra a nuestro personaje actuando podemos observarlo cuando se le rompe la nave y Sofía tiene que ver si la parte de adelante no estaba tan rota para poder comunicarse con la tierra así le mandaban otra nave para volver a su casa sana y salva.
Para realizar este relato hicimos un documento compartido y en clase íbamos dando nuestra opiniones, dudamos bastante en como terminar el cuento, primero íbamos a poner que Sofía se moría pero después estuvimos pensando en hacer el final feliz para que quede mas alegre.
